In the UK, Father's Day is celebrated on the 3rd Sunday in June, and unlike Mother’s Day it is a much newer tradition. Legend has it that the first Father’s Day (as we know it today) was in 1910 and came about because Sonora Louise Smart Dodd from Arkansas, USA wanted to celebrate her father who had raised her and her siblings alone.
