Anaïs Odoux is a French Art Director, Graphic Designer and Collage Artist living in the south of France.
"I have been drawing flowers for years with a style that sits between figurative and abstract. Drawing the same subject is a repetition game: reinventing yourself differently each time by getting a creative constraint and seeing how many times you can renew your work with it. Create a graphic identity that can evolve without standing still. I draw the same subject over and over and I repeat it once again with the creation of the pattern. This repetition concept often comes back in my work: repeat is redo, try again and reinvent. It reminds us of patterns/situations we can reproduce in life.
My flowers tangle themselves like a mesh in construction. Pattern expresses a personality, and gives singularity to space. It creates a real identity to the surface where it’s placed."
